So she packed her bags, rushed to the airport, bought a ticket for the first flight to New York. She didn't tell anyone.
More than ten hours later, she arrived in New York, turned on the TV, and saw the news: a severe earthquake had just hit Tokyo, causing massive casualties. All her colleagues and students were among the victims.
What is strange is — that message was never meant for her.
Even more strange is — if she had not seen that message, she would not have died, but she would have made a decision she could never forgive herself for for the rest of her life.
