A while ago I got into an accident: a vehicle hit me and the driver fled. I spent a month in the hospital, but luckily I was able to recover. When I finally got discharged, a good friend of mine came to see me. He said 'I'm sorry I couldn't go visit you in the hospital while you were there.' I told him it was okay, I understood he was busy. He asked 'Were you able to see who did it?' I replied 'No, unfortunately not. It all happened so suddenly, I don't remember anything about him.' He said 'I see. You have to be so careful these days, there are so many crazy people out and about.' I said 'Yeah, right, I'll be careful.' He said 'Next time I'll come see you in the hospital.'
