I am a psychologist. One day, I received a request from the police: a man is going to jump off a building and they asked me to come persuade him to stop. At first I thought this was just an ordinary suicide case, but when I met the man intending to end his life, I could not see a trace of sadness, despair, or any other emotion common to people attempting suicide. Instead, his eyes only held calmness, reason, and a hint of fanaticism. He asked all police officers to leave, keeping only me behind, and said one sentence to me:
"I am going to the paradise I yearn for, and I really hope you can come with me."
