Deep in the desert, at an abandoned waystation, an elderly cowboy sits alone at a worn wooden table, with a cup of long-cold coffee placed in front of him. He stares at a yellowed old photograph hanging on the wall — the photo shows his younger self, standing shoulder to shoulder with a stranger, both wearing bright smiles. Suddenly, the waystation door is pushed open, a young cowboy walks in, wearing the exact same coat as the one in the old photo, his hat brim pulled low. The old cowboy jumps to his feet abruptly, a flash of terror and grief crosses his eyes. He tremblingly draws his gun, but stops before pulling the trigger. He slowly lowers his gun, and whispers: "You're finally here... I've waited thirty years." After that, he walks calmly to the wall, gently takes down the old photo, tears it into two halves, then sits back in place and closes his eyes. The next day, people find him dead, clutching a note that reads "You are not me, I am you" in his hand.
